Visit to Singapore’s Red Dot Museum

I had the chance to visit the Singapore Red Dot Museum. While it aptly describes Singapore’s presence on a world map, it is a place where great design is showcased. Winning designs are showcased in a well spaced out place (The building used to house the old Traffic Police of Singapore). I was wondering through the place with my intern and we picked up a few ideas for our project.

It would be nice to see a section on what is design and some basic principles. I would also have loved to see it showcase ALL the Singapore winners of the red dot design award through the years. Sadly, most Singaporeans are still not excited about great design but only aesthetically loud decorations. Let’s hope this changes.
