Storytelling has definitely taken centre stage in Singapore. The SAF is onto it, the teachers and in to it and the startups are getting into it. Its a refined form of communication. How can entire civilizations used to be built on oral histories, engaging people to do great things and inspiring others.

Here are some great videos of TEDsters sharing what they know about story telling and I believe they know what they are talking about.

1) iPad storyteller Joe Sabia introduces us to Lothar Meggendorfer, who created a bold technology for storytelling: the pop-up book. Sabia shows how new technology has always helped us tell our own stories, from the walls of caves to his own onstage iPad.

2) From the “I have a dream” speech to Steve Jobs’ iPhone launch, all great presentations have a common architecture. At TEDxEast, Nancy Duarte draws lessons on how to make a powerful call-to-action.
